As our name suggests, SIAS's core activity is transport planning. We provide expertise concerning a wide range of issues related to road transport and traffic flow. Our clients are central and local government and their agencies, and private sector developers. We were the first company in the UK to adopt microsimulation, and now supply, train and support our clients in its wide ranging application.

SIAS is also the home of Paramics Microsimulation, the software development division of the software which has helped to change the face of transport planning. SIAS's Paramics Microsimulation division develops and supports the acclaimed S-Paramics software, the most versatile and comprehensive road traffic flow analysis system available to traffic planners and modellers throughout the world. This benefits from SIAS's long experience in the application of S-Paramics in a very wide range of circumstances. The software that SIAS's clients use is the software that SIAS has deployed to great effect to help consolidate one of the most established transport planning businesses in the UK.
